Aftermarket Regulator Rectifier.

This is a replacement 12v 26amp regulator for a fraction of the price of a genuine part.

The rectifier controls and changes the AC voltage generated by the alternator used in the electrical system to 12v DC voltage to ensure the battery receives is charge. It also regulates the DC supply to the battery to approx 14V when the engine is running.

A damaged regulator rectifier symptoms is no regulating of the DC voltage to appox 14v and can create a voltage spike resulting in blowing bulbs and components. Also another symptom is no supply voltage going to the battery to charge it resulting in the battery draining when riding.
